Franklin at Sterling Flea Market

Franklin At Sterling Flea Market
An NP reporter just finished interviewing the owner of Bristen’s Eatery- a restaurant specializing in soulful interpretations of American cuisine- located at 751 Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights.  Bristen’s is sponsoring the Franklin at Sterling Flea Market that kicks off tomorrow, Saturday May 2nd and runs through September 26th.  Residing on what was previously an empty lot next door to Bristen’s, The Franklin at Sterling Flea Market will feature antiques, accessories and other knick knacks from local artisans.
In mid-June, a local farmer from East New York Farms will begin selling locally grown and organic fruits, vegetables and on occasion, fish.  Also happening in June, Franklin at Sterling Flea Market will be one of the sites for Make the Music NY, the day long musical celebration taking place on June 21st from 11am – 7pm.  Visitors to the market on June 21st will be treated to music by a range of local musicians throughout the day.
Building on this market’s community revitalization spirit, Bristen’s will donate part of the proceeds from eight of the booths that is has reserved to a deserving senior from Prospect Park High School.

Franklin at Sterling Flea Market runs weekly from 9am – 6pm.
