Notice to Residents – “Someone in your surroundings (on St. Johns Place, or New York Ave.) is abusing a dog daily. Everyday the dog crys [sic] out as it is being mistreated.

Please listen out for the agonizing cry of a dog (a beagle I think) if you are able to locate where this horrific incident is occurring please report this abuse to the ASPCA ABUSE LINE @ 212-876-7700 EXT 4450. You do not have to give your name or any personal information about yourself.

If you are the individual abusing the dog – please give the dog up to someone else with more patience & understanding. Dogs are like children. They require patience, love, proper teaching, & attention. Dogs have feelings and need unconditional love too. You chose to bring the dog into your home. Why mistreat it? None of God’s creature [sic] deserves a life of abuse or misfortune. Thank you.”
