While most of us are familiar with Party City located in Atlantic Mall downtown Brooklyn, many may be less familiar with its locally owned, Crown Heights equivalent, “It’s All about You Party Favors” located at 788 Prospect Place. We happened upon the cheery and festive store front recently (this blogger certainly wishes she’d known about the shop sooner having spent over $150 at Party City just last week).

The proprietor, Cathy, has been a homeowner in Crown Heights for about 11 years. After 15 years as a licensed day care practitioner, she decided to open Party Favors about 1 year ago. The store specializes in fairs for baby showers, weddings and children’s birthday parties, but generally carries all types of party effects. In fact, Cathy even makes her own custom items, including center pieces, piñatas and baskets which she “loves” crafting.
