FYI – for those who were left wanting to know more about the Morris J. Golombeck Spice building that we posted about earlier in the week, the I Love Franklin Avenue blog did a phenomenal, in-depth write up on the business and the building itself.   The post includes insight into the history of the building, which apparently used to serve as a brewery and even ranks in American history as the first _______ (read the post to find out what that “first” is).  It’s also chock full of links to other interesting historic tidbits about the building and neighborhood.  And there’s even an interview with the Golombecks, who – if it isn’t obvious – own the spice business that first lured us to the building in the first place.
