We at NP, take a moment to recognize the homegoing of Massachusett’s senior senator Edward (Ted) Kennedy.  The legislation senator Kennedy helped enact during his tenure in office not only improved the lives of Massachusetts residents, they were essential to this nation fulfilling its democratic aspirations during this most recent century.  As someone was overheard saying today, Kennedy is to 20th Century America what Jefferson was to the 18th. 

Our condolences to the Kennedy family, Massachusetts residents, Mr. Kennedy’s colleagues on capitol hill and all who have been touched by his efforts.
