Yesterday’s democratic primary in the 36th council district was an incredible event.  Leading up to most agreed that having a gaggle of challengers vying for Al Vann’s post, all but guaranteed his victory.  While Vann may have gotten more votes than his other competitors he by far did not get the most votes.  In fact the district overwhelmingly voted for the opposition, whoever the opposing candidate might be.  Vann deserves credit for winning; the question now is how can residents of this district share in his victory.
