With election day four days away the race for who will represent the 36th District in the city council is beginning to heat up. Challenger Mark Winston Griffith started the week off strong with endorsements from two prominent politicos Charles Barron and Al Sharpton and held a slew of well attended events throughout the week including a meet and greet at Tavern on Nostrand.
Similarly, Al Vann corralled his own slate of endorsemnts and capped the week with a brand new mailing showing that hes garnered support from such elected officials as state senator Eric Adams and assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries and council woman Letitia James.
If you’re out and about this weekend you’re sure to see both Vann and Griffith campaigning throughout the district.
Out of curiosity, has anyone made up their minds yet?

Such a no-brainer. Have to go with MARK WINSTON GRIFFITH. Just ask yourself:
am I happy with my kids’ school?
is my block clean & safe?
can I stand the current conditions for 4 more years?
Some people had promise once upon a time, but 30-some years later there is no appreciable difference. I want a councilman (GRIFFITH) who’s done econo
ic development firsthand and will use his clout when Bloomberg says let’s put hundreds more homeless men around the corner from my kids!
Griffith gets my vote. Four more years of Al Vann is four more years of the same – nothing.
