Some may have recently noticed some new neighbors moving into in neighborhood.  No, we’re not talking about gentrifiers.  We’re talking about trees.  It appears that Crown Heights is now a beneficiary of the mayor’s One Million Trees initiative – an initiative to plant and care for one million trees around NYC over a ten year time period.  

We actually wrote in a few weeks back and suggested Crown Heights as a candidate for planting.  No one ever responded to us.  So either the plan was already in the works, or maybe … just maybe … they took us up on the suggestion.
