yo! the owner was shining up the beverage door when i walked in today. i don’t think i’ve ever seen that (in a bodega) in my life. i’ll be back. and yeah..they really needed to step up that bodega it’s been filthy and a haven for crackheads for years.

That’s the opinion they have of the people that spent a combined hundreds of thousands of dollars there. I saw a story like this on the news 1-2 years ago where a different crown height bodega owner said he’s gonna upgrade the food in his store because “white people” now come there. Cool.

But note, that although they’ve redone the inside, they are still stocking the same (crappy) food as before. If only they stocked really good snacks like the picture of the other bodega suggests!

I welcome the change! I have refused to step in a Bodega because of the smell!!!

If the owner keeps up with his train of thought, he may well be behind the curve and out of business hen a large well, stocked grocery store opens who is more in tune with the all residents.

I would welcome a Whole Foods or co-op on Nostrand!!!
