I had a GREAT time at Weeksville’s Garden Party this past weekend. Although they were competing with the free Raphael Saadiq concert in Central Park, there was a solid turnout – around 100 or so people (though previous concerts apparently had upwards of 600 people!).

As you can see from the photos, the crowd was completely mixed and the vibe was very positive. The food – brought to us by Bed Stuy’s La Table Exquise French Pastry Lounge, was indeed “exquise”.   Well, I actually only had one item … the raspberry pistaschio puffy thingy French mini blackberry pistachio muffins …  once I bit into it, I was hooked, and ordered one more and then one for the road. (I may even head over there after work today.)

In terms of the concert itself, I only got to stay for one act … Kimberly Nichole … but this woman is A-MA-ZING!!! Beautiful voice, full of personality and stage presence. She electrified the crowd.

I’m looking forward to next week’s concert!!!
