For almost two years we’ve been promoting Crown Heights’ immense potential and doing our best to show you why we think Crown Heights is the best neighborhood to live in.  Now, our colleagues at Next American City have partnered with IBM and challenged residents to give their reasons for why theirs’ is the Next American City.  The challenge runs through September 15, 2010 and nominations can be submitted via the contest’s tumblr page.

OK–Maybe Crown Heights is not a city in its own right–we’d have to share the glory with New York, but that doesn’t preclude anyone from logging on to the SMARTER CITIES page and posting an entry about what makes Crown Heights great!

Are Crown Heights residents sharing data?

Are our elected officials engaging residents in planning?

Is enough attention being paid to demographic shifts in Crown Heights?
