So generally, our motto over here at NP is celebrate the positive … but sometimes … sometimes you gotta point out the bad apples, and hope they will try to change.
So we received an email from a tipster about Chris’ Restaurant, which has recently opened in a new location on the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Bergen. (It’s prior opening had been unceremoniously disrupted when it got caught up in the now infamous drug bust on Nostrand.)
“Went in Chris’s. It’s ghetto personified!
Rude customer service, incomplete menu, menu badly typed up, no store hours, dirty, tip plastic jar with the word ‘tip’ spelled incorrectly!
Lord, this is not what you want to promote as the Neo Crown Heights business or eating establishment!”
First of all, how do you spell “tip” wrong!? But seriously, we residents have endured enough bad service and bad quality for long enough … time for a change. If you want to add a business to the “Wall of Shame” let us know…

really? i haven’t eaten there yet, but i always liked the old version, on the other side of nostrand, a block or two down towards the parkway. decent jerk chicken and open late. can’t say anything about the new place, but it’s the same management, so i’m hopeful.
I’ve eaten there about a week ago.. I couldn’t wait for it to finally open, when the last location closed.. I had no complaints, and saw nothing in regards to the “ghetto tendencies” … Personalities were welcoming and professional as usual… I had no disappointments and love the place! So I will continue to be a loyal customer….
