What’s that old adage?  The only bad press is no press…

Well Franklin Avenue’s Pulp and Bean is enjoying quite a potent spate of publicity.  Since announcing plans to introduce a $10 cup of coffee there have been an inordinate number of profiles on this Crown Heights coffee shop.  While it remains to be seen if people are flocking to this $10 cup, it is has been made overwhelmingly clear that everyone’s talking about Pulp and Bean. This just in from Eater.com: Pulp and Bean rolls out a $10 cup of coffee:

“Sounds insane (really insane), but the shop’s owner Tony Fisher tells Eater that he predicts it not only will do well with his customers—it will also draw coffee geeks out to the neighborhood.”

Update: 5/12/10 2:43 p.m.: Just one important note  to add that we just learned from the owner, Tony – all of the proceeds of the brew will be given to the Ethiopian Children’s Fund.  So you can sip good coffee and do good all at the same time.
